The Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs Center for Financial Empowerment created Get Ahead LA to make sure LA County residents have a resource at their fingertips to learn how to get back on their feet with free programs that can help to supplement their income and provide housing stability for their families.
Many people think they don’t qualify for these programs, but there are lots of programs that middle-class families can take advantage of. With all-new Federal programs, there will be even more resources for the average working family including cash payments for people raising children.
