California WIC

WIC is for all types of families who meet the income guidelines: married and single parents, working or not working. Families who receive Medi-Cal/Medicaid, CalFresh/SNAP, or CalWorks qualify. If you are a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent, or a caretaker of a child under age five, you can apply for WIC online. Benefits include: Free food and nutrition education program for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women with children under age five. Services provided in-language as needed.

LA County Dept of Public Social Services (DPSS)

DPSS offers Medi-Cal health insurance, CalFresh food assistance, CalWORKs cash assistance for families, and General Relief cash assistance for individuals. They also assist customers who are experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, substance use disorders and have many other social service programs available. In-language services are provided as needed.

Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal is California’s Medicaid program that provides medical services to low-income people at little or no cost. It is administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

Medi-Cal provides health services, assistance in enrolling in health insurance programs, and child health services. Services are provided in English and Spanish.

CCNP focuses on ensuring Equal Access to Essential Need Services, such as housing, food, health, transportation, and education; Building Financial Security through professional and career development, financial education, free tax preparation, and income supports; and Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders through academic support, youth leadership, civic engagement, and youth workforce development. CCNP offers a food security program, grocery food distribution, hot meal distribution, pop-up food distribution, and diaper distribution. Languages: Various languages.
